Midnight Madness, Feet Stabs, Dry Crust (Don't ignore these signs)
Here are 10 Sneaky Signs of Type 2 Diabetes (Shares from Real Sufferers)
Diabetic social media users shared some strange, subtle ways they realized...
They might have a problem.
With diabetes, sometimes the signs are not super obvious, but they're there.
They're just very subtle. You have to pay close attention.
Based on comments found online, here are the top 10 symptoms they described:
Midnight Bathroom Marathons - Constant pee runs, especially at night. It's so disruptive. Can keep you from getting a good night sleep and leave you tired the next day.
Unquenchable Thirst - One person spent 90 minutes in a meeting drooling over a cold pitcher of water. It was a bit embarrassing.
Ravenous Hunger - Eating like a starving person, yet... still... they were losing weight. Red flags galore.
Bone-Deep Fatigue - Exhaustion so intense it felt like they were on drugs. Or getting nap attacks shortly after eating.
Blurry Vision - Folks knew something was wrong when they couldn't make out the time. Struggling to read digital clocks. "What do those numbers say?" Or, even thinking their prescription glasses were wrong. Scary.
Dry Crusty & Scratchy - Skin issues galore. Monthly yeast infections, dry patches, and wounds that heal at a snail’s pace and are itchy as heck.
Tiny Swords in Your Feet - Neuropathy described as “small trolls with tiny swords stabbing my feet.” This should definitely have your alarm bells ringing.
Mental Brain Fog - so thick it felt like being underwater. Hard to focus, think or make clear decisions. This is not only frustrating... it's scary.
Weight Loss Without Trying - Losing weight can be nice, especially if you feel overweight. But... Dropping 10 pounds in a month without a diet or exercise... yep... that's alarming.
Sickly - Always feel like you've caught a "bug"? Frequent infections you can't explain? UTIs, skin issues, or just always feeling "off"? That's something you need to get checked.
Obvs, these are not definite signs that you've got Type II diabetes, but...
They're also not signs you should ignore.
One of the more surprising findings were the mental hang ups folks had about being diabetic.
